HR Appstore – HR is more than just recruitment

More and more apps and solutions are appearing within the field of HR tech. Each has its strengths at some stage in the process. But imagine if these solutions worked in unison, supporting HR professionals at any point in the HR process? This is the idea that inspired the HR Appstore. Jan-Peter van der Wal, Job Market Consultant at Adver-Online, will guide you through the HR Appstore and demonstrate how the app can support you in your daily activities.

Adver-Online has been devising and delivering recruitment marketing campaigns since 2002. In order to better manage applications, in 2009, Adver-Online launched its software branch, HROffice. The first product developed was recruitment system, HROffice Recruitment. Since 2015, software for Workforce Management, Working time registration and Contracting has also been added, with the HR Appstore being the latest innovation.

 Job Marketing: an art itself

Where do I publicise an ad? Who do I approach? How do I find the person I’m looking for? Job Marketing in the classical recruitment and selection sense has taken on a whole new guise. People analytics – what do you really know about your employees?

Do you have an objective overview of their talents, capabilities and potential? ‘People analytics’ allows you to collect information on your employees that will give you clear insights into your business development opportunities.

This means that employees’ talents are better deployed where both the company and the employees are concerned. As an employer, once you know what other talents an employee has and what experience they seek, you can cater to them accordingly. This is how people analytics can benefit both employee and employer; everyone likes to talk about their talents. This workshop is delivered by Olivier Bertels, organisational psychologist and owner of Smartops in Naarden.

What can companies do to encourage staff to innovate?

This is one of the questions raised under the so-called LLLight’in’Europe project, launched by the European Commission as part of the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7): an initiative to support important projects in Europe. The Commission acknowledges that businesses and institutions need solutions to big challenges in an ever-changing economy. Thomas Luin, senior lecturer at Wageningen University, will deliver a workshop on the effects of enterprise leadership on the innovative behaviour of employees.
